What are the Fastest Growing Occupations? Here is the latest job growth info for 2021 and beyond

According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, below are the 20 occupations with the highest percent change of employment growth between 2019-2029. The data was last updated in April 2021. 

When we analyze the occupations, seven of the occupations are healthcare related:

  • Nurse practitioners
  • Occupational therapy assistants
  • Home health and personal care aides
  • Physician assistants
  • Medical and health services managers
  • Speech language pathologists
  • Substance abuse, behavioral disorder and mental health counselors 

These healthcare jobs pay anywhere from $115,390 – $116,680 per year for physician assistants and nurse practitioners, to $27,080 on the low end for home health and personal care aides.  You may be eligible to start working in one of these occupations with your current education and experience.
