Pre-ETS (Employment Transition Services)
We offer a comprehensive program for both individual students and groups. Pre-employment transition services are provided to students starting around age 14. In 2014, changes to federal vocational rehabilitation law (the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act — WIOA) added pre-employment transition services for disabled students with an Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 Plan. Our Pre-ETS services include:
- Diverse Work-Based Experiences
- Development of Soft Skills (Including social media presence, cell phone etiquette, conflict resolution, negotiation skills, and professional presentation)
- Money Management Training
- Real Labor Market exposure
- Post-Secondary Tours
- Interview Rehearsal
- Travel Training
- Workshops (Including guest speakers from area employers)
- Self-Advocacy and ADA Training
